2D animation software Synfig Studio 1.2 Released

The 2D opensource animation software Synfig Studio 1.2 is now available, for Linux,Windows and Mac, with many new features and improvements.
New Features to Synfig 1.2 include:
Completely rewritten render engine: - The new engine is build with optimization and have advanced task-based architecture, that delivers significant speedup for bitmap and vector elements, and also reduces memory usage’.
New Lipsync features: - This version of Synfig got an integration with Papagayo lipsync software.
New layer: - Free Time – allows to animate time value
New converter: - Animated File – allows to read waypoints from external files
Completely reworked preferences dialogue. 
and many other minor features
